For starters, every 2020 Nissan Frontier at our dealership serving Paramus NJ comes standard with the all-new 3.8L V6, which replaces the previous 4.0L V6 & inline 4-cylinder engine choices. This engine delivers 310 hp, which is 41 more hp than before, & 289 lb/ft of torque and gets paired with an all-new 9-speed automatic transmission with a 99% larger gear range vs the previous options.

Succeeding the previous 5-speed manual & 5-speed automatic transmissions, this combination allows for fuel economy rated at up to an EPA-estimated 24 mpg highway & 18 mpg city for 4x2 models and 23 mpg highway & 17 mpg city for 4x4 models. That’s 1 & 2 more mpg more for both 4x2 & 4x4 versions, respectively.

Engine & transmission parts contributing to the increased gas savings, maximum payload capacity of 1,460 lbs and maximum payload capacity of 6,640 lbs include:
