It’s been 10 years since the Go the Distance For Autism bike ride has begun, raising over $7 million to raise money for various autism care and service programs in North New Jersey. And Ramsey Nissan, part of the Ramsey Auto Group, is proud to once again present this event that’s fun for the whole family!
The 10th Annual Go the Distance For Autism Ride will take place on Sunday June 2 at Bergen Community College, located at 400 Paramus Road in Paramus NJ. The organizations that will benefit from this year’s fundraiser are comprised of:
- Alpine Learning Group in Paramus
- Garden Academy in West Orange
- EPIC School in Paramus
- REED Academy in Oakland
There will be 4 scenic and fully supported routes to choose from based on your skill level in a bike and your athleticism including runs for 3 miles, 10 miles, 25 miles and 50 miles. The bike ride will begin at 9 am and registration pricing and rules are as follows:
- Adult (ages 18 and older): $50 registration fee & a minimum of $250 of required fundraising
- Youth (ages 11-17): $35 registration fee & a minimum of $100 of required fundraising
- Child (ages 10 & younger): $15 registration fee
Virtual riders can also participate in fundraising while not actually riding during the event. You can also register to be a site volunteer or road crew volunteer if you wish to help out without riding.
Associated with the 10th Annual Go the Distance For Autism Ride will be a family fun festival onsite that’ll go from 9 am to 2 pm. The entrance fee is $10 for kids & $20 for adults the activities will include:
- Food & refreshments
- Face painting
- Rock climbing wall
- Sponsor pavilion
- Live music from The Dirty Sock Funtime Band starting at 11 am
- And more!
Autism affects 1 in 65 children in the United States and an even more staggering 1 in 45 children in New Jersey. And we know how much this fundraiser helps all of the programs that serve our community that has or is affected by autism.
