Ramsey Nissan Presents 2017 Go the Distance for Autism Bike Ride

We are proud to be the presenting sponsor of the 2017 Go the Distance for Autism Bike Ride on Sunday June 4 because we want the community to Ride Jersey Strong to help support families living with autism. We also know that New Jersey has the highest autism rates in the country.

The fundraiser event is raising money for the following autism care and service programs that serve our area: Alpine Learning Group, the EPIC School, Garden Academy, the Institute for Educational Achievement & REED Academy.

2017 Go the Distance for Autism Bike Ride Details

Go the Distance For Autism Bike Ride 2017This year’s Go the Distance for Autism Bike Ride will happen on Sunday June 4, 2017 at Bergen County Community College (400 Paramus Road) in Paramus, New Jersey.

Please dress appropriately, as the event will be happening rain or shine. We recommend wearing sunscreen and bringing a full water bottle the day of.

Nobody under the age of 16 is allowed to ride without a parent or guardian accompanying them. There are a few different races that you can take part in this fundraiser.

3 Mile Family Ride

  • Check In & Breakfast at 7:30-8:30 am
  • Opening Ceremony at 8:45 am
  • Ride Out at 9:00 am
  • This route, supported by the Paramus Police, will be off campus and be an easy ride around the area.

10 Mile Ride

  • Check In & Breakfast at 7:30-8:30 am
  • Opening Ceremony at 8:45 am
  • Ride Out at 9:00 am
  • This route is mostly flat and takes you to Ridgewood & Ho Ho Kus.

25 Mile Ride

  • Check In & Breakfast at 7:30-8:30 am
  • Opening Ceremony at 8:45 am
  • Ride Out at 9:00 am
  • This route will take you past scenic and peaceful reservoirs, hitting Hillsdale, Old Tappan, Harrington Park and Emerson in the process.

62.5 Mile Ride

  • Check In & Breakfast at 6:30 am
  • Opening Ceremony at 6:45 am
  • Ride Out at 7:00 am
  • The route goes out as east as the 25 Mile Ride does and then heads to Saddle River & Upper Saddle River, and then to Franklin Lakes & Oakland and back down through Glen Rock.

Kids Ride

  • Check In & Breakfast at 7:30-8:30 am
  • Opening Ceremony at 8:45 am
  • Ride Out at 9:00 am
  • This route is self-contained on campus and split off into 2 groups: Children 7 & Under and Children 8 & Older.

There’s also a Family Fun Festival on campus from 9 am to 2 pm (free for all registered participants & kids under 2 years old, $10 for non-riding kids 3-17 and $20 for non-riding adults) with refreshments and child-friendly games & activities.

Additionally, official Go the Distance for Autism merchandise will be on sale at the tent starting at 11 am. Bike rentals will also be offered at a price range from $34 to $99 if there are a minimum of 30 total rentals by 11:59 on June 1, 2017.
